Elementary School Scheduling
The Solstar Elementary School Scheduling System is designed to accommodate the requirements of an elementary school to schedule their classes, instructors, rooms and special needs children in the most efficient means possible. The system includes a Master Schedule Builder Program used to create the master schedule of classes including the instructors and the rooms.
Once the master schedule is created, the classes and special needs students are assigned to sections of the courses. Schedules are then provided for instructors, rooms, and individual students as required.
In addition to the scheduling system two programs are included to Take Attendance and to Provide Bus Boarding and Receiving information. The system is also designed to accomodate the “CHILD” program (a program developed by the Florida State University and implemented by The Institute for School Innovation, Inc) .
Why would an elementary school need to build a Master Schedule?
By building a Master Schedule your elementary school can increase student achievement by:
- Improving the quality of school time
- reducing problems associated with various pull-out programs
- decrease class size during critical instructional periods
- allowing for temporary, flexible instructional groups based on what and who is being taught
- providing varying amounts of time for students to learn based on their individual need
Solstar is designed to operate as a standalone application on a personal computer running Windows 98 – Windows 7 for maximum flexibility and can also be incorporated into your mainframe if needed to suite your schools needs.
